I am an applied mathematician and planetary scientist. I develop rheological models and analytical tools to study the tidal dynamics of satellites and exoplanets, and more recently I have been working on numerical methods for mean-field games.
Selected Results
Multilayer equivalence — The tidal response of any multilayered planetary body can be exactly reduced to a homogeneous model, enabling tractable long-term orbital simulations.
Andrade rheology — First time-domain implementation of Andrade rheology for 3D tidal simulations, valid for arbitrary eccentricities and inclinations.
Pluto–Charon — Tidal synchronisation of Pluto–Charon can occur via inward migration, supporting the capture hypothesis over giant impact.
